What data we process

  • No account. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal details to use the transcription service.
  • Audio and files. Audio and video files you upload are processed only in your browser. They are not sent to our servers. Transcription runs locally on your device (e.g. via a web worker and local models).
  • Saved transcripts. If you save a transcript, it is stored only on your device in your browser’s local storage. We do not store transcripts on our servers.
  • Advertising. This website shows third-party advertisements. Advertising is managed by Ezoic. Ezoic and its partners may collect and process data (e.g. cookies, device identifiers) for ad delivery, measurement, and analytics. See the “Advertising and Ezoic” section below.

Legal basis (GDPR / LOPDGDD)

For our own processing (e.g. operation of the site and local storage of transcripts), we rely on your use of the service and, where required, consent or legitimate interest. For advertising and related cookies, the legal basis is your consent, which you can give or withdraw via our consent management solution (e.g. the cookie/consent banner or settings). Retention

Transcripts stored in your browser remain in your device’s local storage until you clear site data or delete them. We do not retain audio or transcripts on our servers. Retention of data collected for advertising (e.g. cookies) is governed by Ezoic and its partners; see Ezoic’s privacy policy for details.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and LOPDGDD you have the right to access your personal data, request rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. You may also withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

International transfers
